ATTENTION NON-MEMBERS AND FORMER MEMBERS

"Why would I want to join/rejoin the Minnesota Trappers Association?"

Do you subscribe to the Trapper and Predator Caller, read the MTA column and  still aren't a member?

Are you a beginner or an old veteran with nothing left to learn?

Are you a retirement age individual that could use a challenging change of pace and a little pocket money?

Are you a high school or college student that can't find the money for that shotgun you've been looking at?

Do you trap for sport, relaxation or Christmas money?

Did you "used to trap" as a kid and really would like to get back into it"

Is there a certain species that has you pulling out your hair trying to consistently catch its kind?

Do you wish you had someone to trap with or someone to teach you a thing or two?

Are you a commercial trapper or a hobbyist?

Belonging to a group of sportsmen united in a common interest can offer opportunities to improve your catch, learn new techniques and forge friendships with like minded individuals that will only help to increase the quality of our time in the field. Fur handling, marketing and trapping techniques are freely exchanged among our members. First time trappers are especially encouraged and directed.

Let me ask you a few more questions;

1.) Do you like the three day conibear check?

2.) Do you really miss those site tags for fisher/marten/otter?

3.) Have you grown tired of taking multiple animals out of colony muskrat traps?

4.) Do increased limits and longer seasons on some furbearers give you "too much" trapping opportunity?

5.) Doesn't a snowmobile make winter beaver trapping more efficient?

These are just five prime examples of positive moves the Minnesota Trappers Association has made on your behalf to help maximize your time and enjoyment in the field.
Law changes such as these don't just happen by chance or by simply wishing.
Are outdated and/or confusing laws preventing you from fully enjoying your time in the field?
Would you like to become part of the team that’s really making a difference?
Instead of merely watching things happen, join us in MAKING THINGS HAPPEN!

The larger our membership, the greater our influence in making the future better for the next generation of trappers.

Please join us in our pledge to making a difference.
