Trapping season has started and I hope all is going well despite the low fur price predictions. There seems to be a few less trappers out this year.
The Winter Meeting and Legal Defense Banquet are coming up fast. January 3rd is the date and the Winter Meeting will be at the East Central High School once again and doors will open at 8am. There will be vendors with trapping supplies; fur buyers; and a couple of trapping demos.
The Legal Defense Fund Banquet will be later that day in Askov at the Community Center. Buzz has put together a great evening. I know there are lots of great prizes and games planned for the evening. Once again Ringers Bar will cater a prime rib dinner. There are a few tickets left so contact Gary Meis if you'd like to attend. If you need a motel room contact them soon as I know they are getting full.
The summer raffle went smoothly again this year and I neglected to thank Russ and Mary Jo Heavirland for taking care of the guns for the raffle and incentive prizes. They do a wonderful job and are great to work with.
Next summer’s convention will be in Bemidji so start making plans to attend.
See you this Winter,
