The northland has been unbelievably nice this fall, the farmers are getting their fields worked up, the lowland included. Due to the dry year there is a lot of ditching being done. In our area there is very little water, ditches are dry, even the Roseau River is real low.
Started trapping the week before deer season but the fur is still blue.
We had our District meeting in September. At my place we had 20 people & at Dan’s we had 18. After the election both Dan & I are still on the Board.
I’d like to thank Mike Dahl for the class he scheduled in Roseau again this fall, we only had four youth but it was a good class.
If anybody has fur for the Tanned Fur Project and if you can get it to me I will bring it to the winter meet in January. The Tanned Fur Project is in need of more fur.
The Winter Meeting is on January 7, 2012 at East Central School, located 12 miles north of Hinckley on 35W at the Banning Junction Exit. The Legal Defense Fund Banquet will be after the Winter Meeting at the Askov community center about four miles east of the school. If you’re thinking of attending, please contact Gary Meis (320-838-1570) to check if there are any tickets left.
Keep in mind the 2012 MTA/NTA Convention will be in Owatonna, August 2nd - 5th. If you are able to volunteer contact Todd Roggenkamp (218-562-4050).
